stain and scale 1

Just adding my stain and scale 1 to a fresh fill and a lot of brown goop or film came out of the bottle. Is it old? Can I use it?

    Hi Nicole! Great question.

The quick answer is yes it is probably old and some of the product has begun to degrade. While there isn't harm in using it, you will need to filter that out and rinse the filter(s). We don't want to add any extra work for you.

If you simply return to the retailer you purchased it from, they should replace the product for you. You can let the dealer know I sent you to get the replacement.

I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. We do strive to develop healthier, less toxic water care products. As a result we use more natural based ingredients when we can. This is likely what you are encountering.

Can you let me know where the product was purchased so we can ensure it is removed from the shelf and replaced with proper stock?

Let me know if I can help further.

  • Thank you for the reply. The bottle was replaced without any problem. It was bought in B.C. Canada and they said they have contacted their supplier.
They have taken it off the shelf as there were several bottles that seemed to be old.

    Thank you,
