Can I disable xp_cmdshell

I understand that in SQL Server, enabling xp_cmdshell is required for executing SF_Replicate stored procedure, would SF_Refresh also require it?

We would like to disable it after the initial replication of objects is complete(from Salesforce to SQL Server), also, we only intend to run SF_Refresh frequently throughout the day.

xp_cmdshell has been highlighted as a security concern by one of our internal team so we would like to enable it only during the time period when we run SF_Replicate. Also, we do not plan to use SF_MetaData or SF_BulkOps stored procedures.

Thank you
