Can I use DBAmp as backup/restore tool in case of data lost in salesforce?

My company is looking to use DBAmp as backup tool for salesforce. So if let’s say in case of disaster,
We need to restore all data (including metadata) in salesforce, it seems it would be complicated manual task to do even from
restoring only data part. I will need to create local tables with additional Error column and I suppose Id_old also in order to remember Id from the original db since all related records reference it (Ex. Account, Contact, Orders. Contacts,Orders have AccountID)
Use bulk insert operation remembering properly to map Id with old Id
After that find a way to push metadata from backup to salesforce. Does anybody have any advice? Is it doable or DBAmp is not the right way to go in case of disaster recovery?
