DBAmp failing to Replicate and/or PKChunk the account table

Hi,

I am having a problem replicating the Account table using SFReplicate, SFResfresh and PK chunk. Other tables are working but today the contact and account table now are not replicating. This was prior to updating to 3.9.1 (3.8.6 was old version). and it is still occurring in new version.

Here is output:
--- Starting SF_Replicate for Account V3.9.1

I have renamed the Account table and tried this again with the above response.

I have run this : Select * from Salesforce...sys_sfobjects
and it is saying Account object is creatbale deletable queryable replicateable (i.e all true)

Nothing has changed on the profile we use (copied Sys admin with a few extra tweaks). ApI is enabled.

Other objects work fine so confused why I am unable to get the account object. Field security is also not changed.

Any ideas

  • This was the command line
    exec SF_Replicate 'SALESFORCE' , 'Account'

and this was the command line for PK Chunk
    EXEC SalesForce..SF_Replicate 'SALESFORCE' ,'Account' ,'pkchunk,batchsize(25000)';

  • Normally this error can occur if there were fields added to the object up on Salesforce. Were there fields added up on the Account object today?

Can you try the following again and see what the results are:

    select * from SALESFORCE...sys_sfobjects

    exec SF_Replicate 'SALESFORCE' , 'Account', 'pkchunk,batchsize(50000)'

  • Hi Justin,

Advised the first query to run in the original post. all are true.

I have a feeling that the work folder maybe running out of space. So have moved the work folder to a different location and retesting. The errors above may assist with the issue

  • Did you restart the SQL instance after performing the DBAmp upgrade ? Failure to do so could cause this issue.

  • Hi,

The issue was occurring befre upgrading but I also rebooted the server and we stopped the server and restarted it after the upgrade. Also did the SPROCS file.

Just trying the 2nd sql query now to see if that works as i noticed that I was using the live extraction process for pk chunk.

Will let you know if the 2nd query works soon.

    Thanks

  • Can you login to the salesforce app and navigate to the Account object field explorer.  Were there custom fields added to the Account object recently that coincide with the start of the error ?

  • Also, I noticed that you are polling to see if the job is complete every 15 minutes.  Our recommendation is that this should instead be every 60 or 90 seconds.  You can change this value in the DBAmp Configuration program.

Finally, are you running DBAmp on a SQL CLUSTER or Alway Available setup ?

  • Hi,

No we haven;t touched the account object until today which is after these failures have occured (so errors happened first before we added 3 new fields today)

Wondering if in the csv file outputs of the pk chunk where it is failing on ColumnMapping whether commas in the data would affect the merge of the csv file?

    select * from salesforce...sys_sffields

Then copy all the rows from the result that are for the Account object and send them to support@forceamp.com

Also, to confirm, the errors starting happening and then you added 3 more fields to the account object ?

Sorry not sure what to look for on your question :
are you running DBAmp on a SQL CLUSTER or Alway Available setup ?

Is that in DBamp config or something else?

  • The issue ended up being 4 columns that were hindering the output from a managed package. Changed visibility to the SF user on those fields (as we didn;t need them as they were being depreciated) and ran again. We also had a View with the same name as the table as a work around as we had an old copy of the Account table and so we could figure this out created a view of the same name which hindered the account table creation. removed this and good to go.
