Error Received in Scheduled Salesforce Download

In a DBamp upload on July 3, encountered an error where the message indicated to contact support.

Do you know what this error code means: 922183995-1489 (-1487031590)

This is the first time we've encountered this particular error message and we were able to run the job at a later time. It sounds similar to at least 2 other topics I read where the issue may have been internet connectivity related.

  • An unexpected error occurred. Please include this ErrorId if you contact support: 922183995-1489 (-1487031590)

Error messages of this wording are from the salesforce server and indicate an issue with their server when processing the query. If the error occurs infrequently and you are able to rerun the command with success, then I would assume that it is a "burp" on the salesforce system and ignore it. If the error occurs more often, then let me know and we can help construct a case to file with salesforce to understand the underlying cause.

  • Bummer. Checked with Salesforce, their support had no information to share on this. This number was not useful. According to Salesforce: ...when we do not get the logs for error, then it might be the third party tool’s error, or the error is new and occurs for very short period of time, and do not have a big impact.

In short, its a mystery. If I find any resolution, I'll post it.

  • It's not a mystery; just poor sf level 1 support. I have dealt with these errors for over 8 years.

Bottom line: The ErrorId points to an entry in their log indicating the source of the failure. Until you push hard to get the case to Level 2, you get a clueless level 1 response. The key is to word the case where you do not mention DBAmp and therefore do not get the "3rd party problem" response and push to have the case escalated.

In my experience, 90% of these errors rarely reoccur. If it does, capture the error message and let me know. We'll help build a properly worded case with the SOAP message doc, get it escalated to sf level 2 and find out what the underlying issue really is.
