Insert is working, Upsert is not

I've been at this for a few a while and can't seem to find a solution. I created an "UpsertID__c" column I'm using as an external ID which I populate using an opportunity ID. If I use Insert, I understand this field isn't used and dbamp is inserting new records perfectly. If I use exec SF_BulkOps 'Upsert','SALESFORCE','VAPortalFieldUpdates__C_Load', 'UpsertID__c' I get the following error. I don't understand why this parameter would be invalid.

I really thought I had a handle on this but apparently not. Do you have any suggestions?
