Supply Box Every day! Random gift!

  • Idea
  • Updated 3 years ago
Information:

Idea 1: I have this idea about supply box which dropped by Army Helicopters for survivals. I think this is suitable idea for this game which also work as daily random gift by pick up supply box in the safe house zone.

Idea 2: Supply box is also work as zombie attack period. This is because of the army helicopter which create sound & help to attract zombies in safe house zone. In this attack survival need to survive till the Army Helicopter left that zone.
After end of this zombie attack we can able to pickup that supply box.

Items can be obtained from supply box:
24hr protection to safe zone, Food, Water, Production Materials, craft items, powerful weapons, Army Gear, Army Cloth

& other remaining items.

[Note: There should be custom Leader cloth where he can change his appearance by changing his cloth which help to wear Army cloth obtained from supply box ]

I like the idea, but why would the heli's be dropping supply boxes? I thought they were trying to kill us -.-

I think Con said there will be no change of clothes. We do have laundry though.

@TS - Try gaining more levels, and supplies will be faster, it's quite better if you'll put hard work on powerful weapons and gears through scavenging :)

Err.... sry to be a party popper but the thing is the army, marines, Air force , navy and HERC aren't gonna be dropping anything for survivors to use, hell HERC even ordered bombing runs on survivors.......... cann't really see them having a sudden change of heart.

This is not a Zynga game... I thing It'd be great to receive air attacks or bombing requiring repairs from the survivors... and then it'd be great to be able to build Antiair defenses with a pair of m249 to defend the compound...

HERC might have some guys with a change of heart. Split off groups could be trying to help the survivors survive in the hope that they might end up becoming strong enough to help.

In any case I think a loyalty program could be a good idea to keep new, and older, survivors playing. The new survivors end up running out of stuff to build with, and the older survivors don't have anything to build, so collectible clothing might be the way to go here.

I don't think it's fair or safe to say that the entire world would adapt the same hard-line against survivors in the cordon zone. There might be as somebody else mentioned survivor sympathizers within HERC (who might accidentally "lose" 1 or 2 out of the hundreds of supply boxes they fly over the zone every day. Perhaps there are media or independants or rogue disaster relief people who risk being detained or shot down to try to run supplies to survivors... maybe HERC *IS* doing the supply drops but for some insideous research purpose? (The survivors that can find, secure, and open the boxes must be fairly skilled, dangerous, or well equipped -- it might make sense to allow "bugged" HERC gear to fall into the hands of those camps to better monitor them?

Really guys... just have a little imagination. With an open mind, you can justify a lot stranger turns of events.

I found some supply boxes -- so I guess this idea got implemented... anybody know where I can find a "Level 03-HERC key"?

(I hope to GOD this isn't something everyone has to buy like some other "pulltab/scratchoff" MMOs.)

the Army left the zone.

some herc paratroopers only helped with the research inside the dead zone.

the herc automatic system is stil activated, which might include anti-air deffences, so making acces quite impossible, unless they have direct orders to go their.

also, the herc paratroopers that went their, are probly already dead by the mass zombie attacks their gunfire noise must've made.

especialy we see on the streets, dead soldiers/survivors and army humvees.

The supply boxes HAVE been implemented... So strange how uber-negative on the idea so many people were on the basis of backstory. The bottom line is, regardless of how realistic they may seem thematically, they inject a very valuable mechanic into the game -- Gambling. The "coiners" as some people call them will not be able to resist buying heaps of fuel to open every box they can find... that's good for Con, and good for them. I'm less enthused, but I understand it's neccessity and that it appeals to the developer AND a sizable demographic.

That being said, I *REALLY* wish it were possible to find keycards from time to time.

COOL IDEAS:

"Herc Camps": There would blink around the map from time to time -- they don't look any different on the main map -- but instead of "hardware store" it would say "herc camp" -- the camps would move at random intervals, and most of the time they wouldn't even be there -- but if you found one the area revealed would have harder and more enemies (say, 5 levels higher than the area would normally have, most of them in those CDC outfits or body armor), and higher chances of getting groovy prizes like boxes and even keycards. People will obsess over looking for them. after they implement actually fighting other survivors, perhaps this would be a way to potentially fight NPC living herc remnant forces.

Bring back the inert zombies! : In Union City one of the coolest things about the zombies is a lot of them simply lay on the ground like corpses until you got near them. Why not instead of just having zombies enter from spawn points, have plenty of them lying around to begin with -- they'd appear searchable, but they get up when you get close to them. This would increase the utility of melee weapons (as you'd have to get in close to set them off/kill them) and just make the atmosphere creepier. Union city also had them falling in from holes in the roof -- dropping from above or climbing out of cracks in the floor would also be cool.

If the army aren't dropping stuffs (except bombs) on us, why in the world would there be material drop-offs (wood, metal, cloth)? I mean, who's generous enough to spare some materials?

You mean the drop-off buildings? That's your survivors collecting any scraps of wood/metal/cloth they come across while wandering around.
