Changed reply in topic of DL3 LAGGING by l.j.desjardins.nl to DL3 allows you to edit directly in list view, like a spread sheet. That might speed things up. When adding a batch of books I view as List with sort by Creation date so the newest items are at the top. Add new columns for the stuff you need to see and edit (dewy, shelves, etc). That will show you quickly which items need Dewy added and which have not yet been added to a shelf.

I use the List view almost exclusively because of the flexibilty. Hope this helps.

You will probably not be able to Edit the shelves directly, but you will see if the item has been added to a shelf or not. .

Changed reply in topic of Is this app abandoned? Why upgrade? by l.j.desjardins.nl to If you are referring to DL2 then the answer is Yes they have stopped any future upgrades. It appears the newer Operating Systems are incompatible with the DL2 rendition of Delicious Library and the campany has withdrawn it from sale. .

Changed reply in topic of How to choose new blank item in one of the two existing versions? by l.j.desjardins.nl to As Kerry said, you need to edit to select the item Type after you add a blank item. In DL2 you selected Type before you could create a new blank. In my opinion DL3 should prompt you to identify the Type immediately when adding a blank.

Changed reply in topic of Delicious Library 2 crashes with High Sierra by l.j.desjardins.nl to dly On the machines we have in-house, DL2 is completely nonoperational on macOS 10.11 and beyond. This isn't surprising, as it was developed under 10.5. The underlying architecture of OS X has changed a lot since then. We removed DL2 from the App Store and officially deprecated it in September 2015. A few customers are reporting that it runs for them on ope jrating systems prior to High Sierra, but the shelf display is pretty borked. Other issues include items disappearing from shelves for no known reason. No customer has been able to launch the app on macOS 10.13. The sad fact is that we haven't been able to compile the DL2 source code on Apple's shipping version of OS X since 2012. There were tools available earlier for third-party developers that we no longer have access to. Even if we had enough extant DL2 users to make it financially feasible to patch it, it's not technically feasible to patch itj.

Changed reply in topic of Why are so many scans with the iOS app incorrectly matched from Amazon.com? by l.j.desjardins.nl to With paperback books scanning the barcode on the back instead of the one inside of the front cover often gave the wrong book because some printers used a generic code on the back for pricec only for use in supermarkets and other general stores. .

Changed reply in topic of play tracks directly from from library 3. where is the option? by l.j.desjardins.nl to It did exist. It involved putting the URL link in the right field in DL. I think it became inactive, or at least less useful, when Apple implemented some sandboxing features which restricted access between programs. .
