Hi folks, I am trying to spin tip DL3 on my mac. I am running mac os 10.13 beta 3 (may be beta 4) and DL 3. Are you aware of anything that might make this happen besides the wholesale Swift/Objective C library changes in the OS
?

Hi Paul. I'm sure it's just my ignorance showing, but please could you put 'spin tip' in laymans' terms?
Thank you, David -

No ignorance, I can't type :). I meant spin up. Oddly, now DL3 will come up and run. Maybe it heard you typing a response to me and decided to work ;)

Good.
I'm not using HS beta. I came a cropper once using an Apple Beta, so I just bide my time now.
Please could you post on here whether it operates as it should on your High Sierra beta?
Just for everybody's future reference....

It appears, that now it works. The only thing I did was reboot my mac which I don’t normally do.

DL3 is not working (for me) with the most current quasi-public build (10.13 Beta 17A360a). DL3 loads but within seconds the beach ball appears and the system reports that the app is not responding. With 10.13 scheduled to go live a week from Monday, this might be a significant issue at least for some – it certainly is for me.

wjc, I shut down all other apps and was able to spin up DL3

Interesting. I did NOT shut down other apps; however, I walked away from the machine and left everything running. Four hours later, DL3 was functioning – no beachball. That said, the camera was non-functional, instead showing a spinning interrupted green circle. Using text-only entry, I was able to add and edit data.

I also have the same High Sierra build and DL3 is fine.
Try re-installing.
This is the way to do it:
Just delete DL3 from your Apps folder, and go back to DL or Appstore (whichever you bought it from) and get it again. I've had to do that several times during Sierra / High Sierra. It won't affect your collection, as your data is NOT stored in DL3 in the Apps folder, it's stored elsewhere in a hidden folder.
BUT as a precaution, I always export a copy of my DL3 library onto my desktop AND onto a removeable memory stick.
Please let me know if it works for you.
Cheers, David -
