Feature Request for adding Cover Art
When I scan a book, there are times when I get the book but no cover art. Since I just scanned the book and it is in my hand, it would be cool to have an option right then pop up and ask if I want to have my camera take a photo of the cover. Does this already exist? If not, it would be cool to have the option.

You can search the internet for alternate cover art by clicking on the gear (flower) at the bottom right and selecting "Search for Cover Art". I have to do this sometimes when there is no image or the image presented is not the same as my book (alternate/newer covers available, or UK vs US version). A window will automatically launch in Safari to search for images by "title". I sometimes have to add the "author" to the search line to get a good match when the title is too general.
Selecting the higher resolution from what is available will give you the best results (lower resolution images are grainy). Select the image you want, Copy it, then Paste it over the cover shown in your Library.
As for taking a picture with your iSight, I have used Copy/Paste to take images from photos already on my computer and post them to DL2 so I see no reason why you can't take a picture with your iSight and then copy it into your Library. It is not an option "within" the DL2 program however, so you would have to use another program to actually take the picture at this time.
Given how hard it can be to perfectly center items in iSight at times, I would suggest you try finding the cover you want through DL2's built in Search Cover first. the images you will find are already centered and cropped for use. -

Thanks for this info. I followed the steps and it is very easy to find missing cover art this way, or to find the correct art. Appreciate the help!

how do you do this with DL3? It doesn't seem to allow me to add cover art.

What is the problem? Click on the book to highlight it on shelf or use Cmd+I to open information window. Right click on book on shelf or click arrow for menu next to cover image in info window or click Item menu at top of screen... from any of these select Search for Cover Art (just like in DL2).
When you find the cover you want you can still drag/drop it into the info panel but using the Paste options (from menu or right click or cmd+v) seems to work best directly on the item in list view or covers view rather than in the information window which was the way I did it in DL2.
Basically, now you don't have to open the information window to change cover art anymore - you can do it directly by simply clicking on/highlighting the item in your library and using right click or Item menu to do so. (If you make a mistake use Edit/Undo to reverse your change.) -

Every Search for Cover Art I try no matter which item results in a Google Images 404.
Also, I have no options for replacing/copying-pasting any cover art. I can only Search for Cover Art (which doesn't work) and view the raw cover art. -
