Help with Smart Shelves and iTunes please :)
How do I create a smart shelf for my audiobooks and ebooks (that are in iTunes) so that they will automatically populate and update? or am I asking something that is not possible? I tried to create one with the parameters that match the iTunes description, but I don't see "media kind" which is the logical thing to do. What am I missing?

Hi LL,
Indeed it's possible. Use the smart shelf parameter "Type", and you'll get options for all the iTunes types. -

I have done that - I created two smart shelves - one for audiobooks and one for ebooks (from iTunes). For the audiobook one I chose "type-iTunes audiobook" and nothing populates. For the eBooks, there is not a choice for "type-iTunes book" - if I choose book, everything in DL populates.

Oh, I apologize, I didn't fully read your question. Delicious Library isn't currently able to read ebooks (iBooks) from iTunes (because iTunes doesn't share that information in its XML file). Sorry about that, but we have a stop-gap solution in the works. Audiobooks are supported though, and you should see an "iTunes Audiobooks" shelf already if you've enable iTunes in Delicious Library's preferences. Is Delicious Library displaying any iTunes items?

Excellent! I'd really wanted a shelf to show off my Kindle and Audible collections, and this worked a treat for me.
Thanks -
