How do I transfer DL 3 files from my iMac to my MacBook Pro?
I can't find anything in the forums

Hi Kevin,
To transfer files from one computer to another you can either save the file (below) to a remote site like Dropbox or Google Drive, or to a USB drive.
Your DL3 file is saved under: ~/Library/Containers/com.delicious-monster.library3/Data/Library/Application Support/Delicious Library 3/
Note: Delicious Library isn't really designed for syncing between computers, so if that is what you are trying to do I can direct you to another thread with those instructions.

Greetings Allison,
Thanks for the response, however, I don't seem to have Containers within the library. My OS is 10.8.4. Would it be in a different place, or named differently?
I've tried doing a search to no avail. Also, in the info pane I do have about 90mb on the library, so it appears that it is there. I just can't figure out how to extract it.
Thanks a bunch.

Actually, Allison, I just found it. But, now where do I put it?
hm.

Hi,
Find the same location on your MBP and paste the DL3 files there. Be sure DL3 is loaded BUT not running when you do this.
Another option would be to export the DL3 library, select all fields and then import that file in to the other DL3. In fact, if you plan on making changes between the iMac and MBP I strongly suggest this or put the files on Dropbox.
After searching for "Dropbox" in the forum it looks like DL has dropped Dropbox support. Sad really because all it would take for them to support Dropbox is to allow the user to select where the DL3 files are stored. Then the user could select their Dropbox, or any other cloud storage service, and put their DL3 files there.
Take care, -

Thanks Tony,
Through a circuitous adventure, that did it.

Use LongPathTool, Long Path Tool can simplify and probably end your problems in unlocking, managing and renaming files that appear to have a long filename.
