I can't see my library remotely

Ok, so I've been reading through these posts, and, I think that I have a different problem. I'm sharing between two home computers; MacBook pro and an iMac. When I try open remotely on the MacBook, I see that all of the megs are there, however, it doesn't display the shelves. I'm viewing the app from the iMac, but no info. Does anybody have an answer for this? Is it permissions, or something else?
Thanks a bunch in advance.
Kevin

  • Which operating system on each of the computers? You indicate DL3 is resident on the MacBook with all the data but you are trying to link from the iMac, correct? Are you using basic screen sharing/file sharing or some other remote access like iCloud?

I assume they are both on the same home network and that you have opened DL3 only on the MacBook which contains the data (not on the iMac being used for the remote access).

Are you able to remotely access another program with files resident on the other computer (like Pages for example)?

    More details can help.

  • Greetings Champ,
And thanks for the response. Actually, and first. the iMac is the main computer with D.L. on it. That may have been my error. They are, indeed, on the same home network. Yes, to the basic screen file sharing. And, one more yes to being able to access another program, remotely.
I have tried to open D.L. 3 remotely on the MacBook, however, all I get is a blank shelf. But, when I go to Get Info all of the megs. are there. It's just not showing.
    Again, thanks a bunch.
