Import from Publish to File
I love Delicious Monster but I had to replace a hard drive and the only copy of my library I have has been published to a file, not to a site. Is there any way to restore my library from the site published to a folder?

I don't think it can be done for some odd reason relating to UNC path names; theres another thread here when we've tried to do the same from a library published to Dropbox on a local disk, but it never seems to see the shared library.
If you have any web space, try uploading everything and accessing it, if you don't have webspace, I can provide some temporary space to host it and we can try from there if you wish. -

Hi Stu. Thanks for the reply. I may need that temporary space. I'm trying to restore by publishing using the Apache server built into my MacBook. If this doesn't work, I will need your help. To be continued.....

Finally, success! Here is what I did. I added the contents of the folder to //library/webserver/documents on my MacBook, then went to System Preferences - Sharing and checked the Web Sharing box. It presents the URL for the site on your computer. I copied the URL, then followed the directions to restore I found here: https://getsatisfaction.com/delicious....
I was able to get all of my items back into Delicious Library 2, but now I have a new problem. The synopsis and details are missing from the items and they do not seem to be able to refresh from Amazon. -

I've followed your process (very good thinking outside the box there) and everything works.
Since the ASIN number is passed through from the shared data (you will see Amazon Link in the edit tab for items), it **will** update data form Amazon; however remember that Amazon's data is ephemeral and the data that was there x number of years ago is probably no longer there.
One other thing, for those people running Mountain Lion, you can no longer turn Web Sharing on or off (its off by default) and I found this handy (free but "please click me and learn more about our great commercial products" button) preference pane add-in

Thanks Stu. You were right and it did update the information, it just took a while. And the first thing I did was create a backup so I don't have to go through this again. Thanks for your help. And I LOVE this program!
