I’m frustrated

Include search ability when published to web

Publishing to the web is great, but I need to be able to search the items online. Right now I think browsing is the only option. But if I'm posting a library of hundreds of books, I want people to be able to search them.

I was wondering the same thing. I work in a school library and we've been researching different programs to help get us online instead of using the old card catalog. I hope you keep working on making that happen because your software is about the best we've seen so far! :-)

  • I was wondering if you could post an update on how much you are considering this idea. We are seriously looking at putting all 3 of our elementary school libraries online, and are especially interested in your software. With all the books we have, it would be extremely helpful for our students or staff to be able to do a search while online. This would allow our students to search for an animal or person they might need to do research on, or to find books we have in the library without actually having to be there. I can't tell you how many times staff have called to ask if I have a certain book, but if your software was searchable it could help eliminate that.

We love all that your program uses a Mac OS...we're looking at adding them in our district, and it fits perfectly with the iPads & iPods we already have in the Media Center and all the classrooms. We also like how your software makes cataloging and creating an online library so easy...your iSight scanning and the iTunes/Smart shelves are amazing features! Don't get me wrong, we are certainly willing to pay for software that does all that we are looking for. We simply don't have the budget to spend hundreds, or even thousands of dollars like many other companies are asking. With that said, we hope that you will put this idea at the top of your considerations.

PS...even though your program isn't quite right yet for our schools, I have downloaded it for my own personal use and can't wait to get all our books in our own Delicious Library. Thanks!! :-)
