Total $ Value of collection
Add Total $ Value for each category as well as entire collection. You did say the main purpose of this program was for insurance purposes, so include on the bottom border of the program (so it's always visible) a total money amount of my collection, with an easy way to print the entire collection in basic form showing item name, individual price, ISBN and at total value only.

This is a really good idea. Right now, you can do is export those fields to Excel, and then it's really easy to get a total value in Excel.

Yah, I always wanted to do this, ran out of time. It's tricky because of the currency stuff, but now that I have different currencies auto-converting again (in 2.0.3 beta) I can do it. -

Please add this! It would be an invaluable tool when obtaining insurance to cover your stuff... you know exactly how much you have and what it would cost to replace it all.

yes I love this idea, I have well over 5,000 books now which I am still inputting and cataloguing. Its fun, I feel a bit like Im at the lottery with each book.... It would really help instead of having to output every once in a while to see how rich I am!:-). What I find difficult, is the multiple currencies - I ahve to remove the CDN (canadian funds) from the output, so it wont be taking into account the differences or the current money market fluctuations - its only approximate, but it is nice still.

The prices exported are not numbers they have the currency symbol in so it is a string field.
I might have it more complex as I have US and UK bought books (at least)
Ideally I think the currency and price should be separate fields.
