Screen failure? Color distortion, red lines flickering are they the foreshadow of my screen dying? Please Help, refarding my XPS - X1330-146B, screen issues, after doing extensive research on the internet, I am extremely alarmed, this post cut & pasted off of Best Buy is 100% the same issue, time line and I am hoping that their prediction regarding Dell is indeed false, please tell me that when I extend such an investment during these economic times due to trust in Dell as a company (an American Company & in my home State of Texas) as this computer is HOW I make my living, that they will indeed back this product for long long term fix, not a short term as the C/P post indicates as this XPS was purchased last November (2008)?
Enclosed cut and paste, please some one tell me, I am not soon going to be with out a computer screen and Dell not resolving this matter, as my screen is steadily digressing with red lines flickering and color distortions. Moreover, due to work, I don't have the luxury of spending numerous hours on the phone with tech support to be gate keeper (stall tactics) akin to insurance companies motives to break a persons resolve for justified claims...or for a fix that in essence would be a shor term patch, i.e., a bandaid on a wound that will not be a long term resolution of the problem. I can not afford a new computer, hence, I invested in Dell for a long term resource.
Thanks for any possible, insight, FYI- it is not desire or motive to bash Dell or to promote negativity, I am just extremely worried...hopefully, my future post will be proclaiming how my issues were resolved in the expected manner that Dell claims to offer it's customers.

What's great about it: looks good, nice price for features
What's not so great: they run too hot, burn out after 6 months
"Don't make my mistake, check out the Dell forums on experience with the XPS series. These machines have design flaws that make them run too hot, and not only the old machines with the Nvidia graphics--also the newer machines. On many of the machines (including mine) they simply start to fail at 6 months. Dell will try to patch it up until your warranty expires and then you are out of luck. Don't risk it, "
