13 Days Since E day, Going very wll

Well, it's been thirteen days, and I can't believe how well it's going.  I only take an Advil in the morning and in the evening, the pain is minor, nothing compared to what it was like when I had my teeth.

I eat a lot of pasts, angel hair cut up.  I just had a couple of link sausages, and chewing was a little difficult.  I love pasta, but I am getting a little tired of it.  Looking forward to eating chicken or some other tougher food.

I got my first soft realign two days ago, and what a difference!!  My lower denture still floats a bit when I eat, but it's getting better.  I tried fixodent, but it didn't do much, maybe I'm not using enough, though my dentist (or really the nice young lady I see now) says they don't want me using any adhesive.  They say they should fit well enough that I shouldn't need any.  That's encouraging.

I realize that not everyone has the same experience, but I'm convinced some of the "horror" stories are actually posted by dentists who are anti-denture.  My old dentist would have a cow if she knew I got all my teeth extracted.  I mentioned to her that I'd rather just get dentures that put up with all the grinding and drilling.  She was appalled, and said, no, no, no, we save the teeth at all costs.  I couldn't even get them to pull two teeth that were cracked and giving me pain.

That's when it was time to switch, and I'm glad I did.  I still can't chew much, but it's going well.  I played golf 4 days after e-day and shot a 2 over par with 4 birdies.  I don't think I even thought of my dentures while playing.

I won't get my permanent dentures until around February, but that's okay, I can wait.  Looking forward to it, none the less!!

Nice game...  I couldn't shoot +2 with my OEM Teeth on my BEST DAY!
No regrets here either at almost 2 years out.
Glad I got OFF the Dental Money Train.
I used to GOLF with my Dentist.
He'd crap a brick if he knew now too!  LOL
