help I used adhesive and the dentures stayed put all day, but now when I took then out, and that was hard to do. I've got goop all in roof of mouth, I've rinsed and rinsed with warm almost hot water. I've used soft brush, wash cloth, still a layer there. more rinsing and with salt water as it's only been 6 days and I'm still very sore and tender. Help

Try some mouth wash that helps the stuff to soften the take a paper towel and wipe it out of your mouth.

I use coconut oil and swish in mouth for as long as I can. Be sure to spit in trash, not in plumping. It should be quite loose after this and easier to wipe out. I also have some wipers that are more like fabric than paper which feel nicer in mouth to complete wiping . The coconut oil swish has some health benefits slso. Google oil pulling.

It sounds like you're using too much adhesive . Put the adhesive in and then turn your dentures over and shake the excess out. Then use Listerine mouthwash.

After only six days, the only adhesive you should be using is powder. It holds pretty well but is a LOT easier to clean. Pretty much rinses right out. To get the best hold from it, wet the denture, apply powder, shake off excess, wet again, apply powder, shake off excess and if you like, wet them again before inserting.

Are you saying that you just had your teeth pulled and you're using adhesive? I hope not. I was told not to use any until completely healed. I would imagine you would pull your stitches out. It took me a while to play around with the amount of adhesive I was using (like Poligrip or Fixodent). It was very difficult for me to remove in the beginning, and I would use a tooth brush to scrape it off the roof of my mouth.
