Definitely chat with Charlie in here. But you can handle this.
Most people either won't notice or not say anything, if they do just tell them. I know it's embarrassing but in some ways I think it helps You. So many of us on here are at one point or another and can help you get through it.
I am 4months post full upper extractions with immediate.
Be patient, it takes time...you are going to hear this so much you'll want to strangle the next person who says it to you sometimes, but it is sooo true, as I am still finding out. I've been so frustrated at times but as so many of us we had no better choice. If you have no support from family, friends, or s significant other, this group is always here.
Remember, you are tougher and stronger than you know, ..you got this!!!!

I’m a big chicken and I did it. No one I work with knew what I was having done. Since I’ve been back, no one has been able to tell

Lol, nope big chicken. Probably cried a little. It’s a trip, but we gotta take it. I went to a school event with my son last night. First time around that much “public”. No one even noticed. These negative things we worry about, mostly just in our own heads. I say go for it if you need them. Make sure they are done right. They will get loose, not made wrong, just from healing. Use this support group and anyone can make it

Let me ask you a question. Do these people chew your food up for you and make it easier for you to eat? Do these people go through the pain that you've gone through with your teeth through the years? The only person that this should matter to is you it's your health, your life, and your pain. There's a lot of adjustments I grant you that but I also am here to tell you as 62 years old and having Dentures since I was 25, there's been nothing better than being able to eat what I want once again.

I hope your dentist is better than mine!! I'm past a year now and still hate my full dentures. Without Cushion Grip they'd fall out of my mouth.

I have heard so much about cushion grip, I have some, in fact I think I have one of every kind of adhesive because I didn't know what would work for me, so far polident powder has been good.

I was using the cushion grip for about 6 weeks and it worked fabulous for me. Last week I had a new reline and a serious shave down on my immediate, now I'm finding that the powder is working the best. I guess my point is as our mouths change and getting adjustments so does the application. Uugghh so much trial and error, and the constant changes. At this point I'm just looking forward to a permanent.

I'm finding the powder doesn't work as well anymore. You're right. Everything changes

Changes , changes.....I think I am going to have to start using a bit more powder. Today things don't feel the same, as in they are feeling slimy! Yuk...what is the cause of that???

I think as they get loose more saliva gets in there. Makes a slimy/sand-like feel. I just started using fixodent max hold (has a pic of a padlock
