14 days after having all teeth extracted, doing good, not as painful as I thought it would be although I wish I could eat more of what I am cooking for the family . What to make for dinner....well at least some of the SLIMEY YUCK is lighting up:).  I have a question I did ask the hygienist but thought she was too young to understand " The adhesive sticks to the inside of my mouth when I take dentures out, how do i get this stuff out of my mouth?"

I use toilet paper (Kleenex doesn't work). I also take a soft toothbrush (dedicated to this one task) and use that then I brush the heck out of my gums and pallet with a regular toothbrush.

I get the bulk of it off with my fingernail and a paper towel. Then a piece of chocolate dissolves the rest in about 10 minutes.

I use warm water before I remove my upper plate to loosen the Secure denture creme..then remove..then rinse again with warm to hot water.then take a medium tooth brush with small head and remove the rest if there is any..I alternate between the water and brushing...another tip for easy removal of upper is the push up on the front teeth to loosen them from gums..

I have a partial now. Getting all upper teeth pulled soon. I have a tendency to overdue the polident. I use a good quality paper towel and move the polident to the front of my mouth in a pinching motion. The "glue" sticks to itself as well as the paper towel. Two swipes and it's gone.
