After immediate dentrues, my dentist is giving me my permanent dentures in only 3 months

3 weeks from today, I'm getting all 24 teeth extracted and immediate dentures.  I go for my bite plate tomorrow.  I've seen many different posts regarding permanent dentures.

But my dentist, (of course, this is all he does, extract teeth for dentures, they have their own lab for making the dentures), says there will be no problem getting my permanent dentures in 3 months.  He's been doing this for over 20 years.  Everyone seems to know what they're doing there.  My gums are in good shape and I have good bone.

How come some people have to wait so long for their permanent dentures?

Ken I just had all top teeth removed and immediate denture in. I won't get my permanent denture for at least 9 months. I'm told this is because ur gums continue to shrink up to a year later and if u get ur permanent too soon they will become too loose and big. I would ask ur dentist and maybe look into it. Everyone I have talked to said if they got the perms too early they didn't fit a few months later. Hope that helps. And good luck to u

Thanks, Melanie.  This is what The Smile Center advertises on their web site, and they seem pretty confident about it.  I'll keep every posted on how it all goes.

Curious what happened. Did you get your permanents in 3 months? Did they become loose? I was also told I am getting my Permanents in a short time. My appts to start that are a month from the Date of extractions.
