Very scary.  Just do what everyone else does when they find out that they are allergic to something; find out what the ingredient is that you are allergic to and avoid it.  It's work, as you now need to know what's going into your mouth and you probably didn't give two hoots before this event.

If I am allergic to oranges and then I say to myself that I am afraid to eat apples, grapes, bananas, dragon fruit and lilikoi, well, that just makes me a moron.

Hi Carla
What is your dentist recommending that you do??
Is this both an upper and lower denture?
Or is it a partial denture?

Sorry to hear that. Try using poligrib. It's just as avitive. Just check to see if it has the same ingredients. To make sure it won't have the same result

Below is from the internet about denture cream
==============================================

But the real danger of using denture cream comes from the toxicity of its ingredients. It has many toxic ingredients, one of them being Zinc. Some denture wearers chenge their cream 3-5 times a day. Whenever they replace the old layer with a new one they introduce a large amount of Zinc in their system that may lead to Zinc Poisoning> The symptoms of Zinc Poisoning may include: weakness, loss of sensation, tingling in the extremities, numbness, neuropathy. Another ingredient of Fixodent is Silicon Dioxide which is a concentration of 1-4%. In nature it is commonly found in sand and quartz. Mineral Oil is in high concentration of 10-30%. Just to give you an idea, it is found in car oil, cosmeticals, creams and is made from distilling the raw oil to obtain gasoline. Petroleom Jelly is found in a concentration of 15-40% in Fixodent. Just by looking at the list of the main ingredients and their concentration, you can get a pretty good idea of what Fixodent can do to your body. Using denture cream is like swallowing a tea spoon of a mixture of petroleum jelly, baby oil, silica toped with Zinc every day for decades.

You might want to try Cushion Grip.  It does not dissolve and wash into your system like the pastes and powders.

I've been using Seabreeze denture strips, and I'm fairly happy with them. I don't like dealing with the goopy creams. Will look into Cushion Grip, may be too expensive for me.

Bear in mind that a tube of Cushion Grip lasts quite a while as you don't need to use a lot of it at once.  You might want to try it once so you'll know what it is.  Good luck.

Cushion Grip, every 3 days at $20 a tube with 10 M and M sized blobs is $240 a year, just for one plate. $480 a year for both plates. If you leave it on for more than 3 days, you are SERIOUSLY risking your health as the bacterial buidup between it and the plate would be enormous and swallowed! Gross to da max

First of all, I am not a paid promoter of anything or anybody!  Secondly, for some this lasts longer than 3 days.  If it is adhering to the plate, there is no bacterial buildup.  My current application has been there for an entire month.  Thirdly, I have used Cushion Grip for 40+ years with NO ill effects at all.  A tube of it last me for months, if not more than a year.  So, kindly speak about things you have some knowledge of.  I'm beginning to wonder who pays for YOUR promotions!

Apparently you are not aware that Cushion Grip is very much like a "not-so-permanent" soft liner.  You can brush your dentures or soak them as usual, and unlike pastes and powders, the liner will not come out.  I am guessing that you have never used it.  Please stop commenting on things you have no knowledge of.  We are here to try to help those who have issues with what we already have encountered.  You seem to be here to just throw dirt around.  Tell us what works for you and let others tell us what works for them.  That is why we are commenting.

Oh, you're name calling is just so cute.  If it doesn't work......why are you using it on your lowers right now?  I am not exaggerating anything...I am simply relating my experience with the product.  You should do the same.

Unfortunately, your posts show up on my email pertaining to answering someone else's issues on this site.  Trust me, I am not following your posts.....as you haven't said anything that would aid anybody and their problems with their dentures.  I notice you didn't answer my question about why you are using it on your lower dentures if it doesn't work.  ?????  Never mind.  Forget I asked.

It works as the packaging says. It is a figment of your imagination that I said it does not work, as I have never said that. Your defense mechanism says your self-esteem is too low. Work on that. You keep recommending it for people who are asking about GLUE. It is not a glue. It is nit a glue alternative either.

It is probably the ZINC in the creme..I had that issue also..then I found SECURE adhesive and have not had any issues since.  The only issue is you have to buy it online. I get mine from LuckeyVitamin.com It comes in sensitive and regular, I get regular.  With the less is more.
