I came across this while searching for Secure on Amazon.  Anyone ever tried it?  If so how does it compare to Secure and the other leading adhesives.

I agree with Joan about Cushion Grip.  Creams and powders do not work as well.

So, Avistar Denture Adhesive does not compare to Cushion Grip because Cushion Grip is not an adhesive.  It has no adhesive qualities.  It is a temporary soft liner and that is all.  Cushion Grip fills in the gaps that either your incompetent dentist left behind or that you are responsible for because your gums shrank and you didn't keep up with your dental appointments through the end of the process so that you would have hard or soft relines either because your dentist is incompetent or you are practicing your same ways of not completing what you started with dental care.

It states that Avistar is a "cream" adhesive.  Creams typically wash out and ooze out.  That is not a problem with Cushion Grip.  I would suggest, rather than sniping at others on here who are trying to help with problems, that you try them both and report back to the rest of us what your findings are.  It might also interest you to know that when you have had dentures for decades, your gums will shrink a bit.  Now, if you do not have lots of money at your disposal, you cannot run to the dentist for new dentures any time the mood strikes you.

Nola, on your original answer to the OP, you did not answer.   Your response here was to agree with what Joan said and she did not answer the OP either.  Her response, that she would only consider Cushion Grip is not helpful.  This site is for people who want to be helpful.  Is she just an advocate for Cushion Grip because she wants to be an advocate for Cushion Grip or is she being paid or receiving remuneration of some sort?  I don't know.   Not only is the OP asking about a particular product but is asking about a specific type of product; an adhesive.  Cushion Grip is NOT an adhesive as it has ZERO adhesive qualities.  This thread is NOT about Cushion Grip.

You suggested that ".....rather than sniping at others on here who are trying to help with problems......." is just a snotty retort that, AGAIN, does not have anything to do with this thread and only has to do with your low self-esteem.  Get over yourself and stop being mean just because you can hide behind your computer screen and try to start being helpful instead of just practicing retorts that have nothing to do with the subject matter at hand.

I, personally only try products with real reviews or where I can see what the ingredients are so that I can judge what the properties are and how the product will actually work.  However, this product has a money back guarantee.  The Amazon ad that you shared the link to does not say HOW you would get your money back though.  It says you get 5 tubes, yet there is a picture of 4 tubes.  It also does not list the ingredients.  Also, unless you do not eat or drink, there is NO product that can hold all day even though the product's nomenclature says that it holds all day.  Or, they determine a day to be 4 - 6 hours.  All of the reviews are within a couple of days of each other, read about the same "I like it, thin tip, holds all day."  I'm sure these are from the people who get paid to review.  What is in it?  Is it like Secure?  More importantly, what's wrong with it?  Does it expand with contact with liquid?  Does it make your mouth sticky-slimy?  The minimum you need to spend is $20 with free Prime shipping for 5 tubes to find out for yourself.

Spicy, it doesn't matter to me what you use. I get nothing from recommending Cushion Guip to you or anyone else.  I had used Cushion Guip for many years and when they sold the company and the new one choose not to sell it, my world came to a bad way.  I After using it for years, it has not killed me yet so I will continue to use it as will many, many, many more people that us it. Judge for yourself.

It doesn't matter to me what you use either.  It does matter to me, the OP and the integrity of the forum that we respect and address the subject of this thread instead of just coming on to talk about Flatface or Dollface Persian kitten's' various coloration or the latest trend in electric yogurt makers or Denture products that aren't even remotely related to the OP's (original poster's) question.

It's nice, here though, that you can do whatever you want, even if it is being disrespectful or derailing a thread.  Again, what does Cushion Grip have to do with answering the OP's question about Avistar?  Nothing.  So, if it doesn't have anything to do with the question, why write a one-liner about it?  Must be a motive.

Instead of apologizing for hijacking the thread, instead of apologizing for not actively participating in the OPs question-dilemma-inquiry, you write a post to dig in deeper.  Since you say you are not an advocate, paid or not, for that product, it must take some heated and long-term practice to be that narcissistic.  Bravo!

Here, let me help you.

I would suggest, as 1Spicy! seems to be the most impolite, asinine person on this thread, that those of us who are actually trying to add knowledgeable input about products here for the encouragement and aid to those who actually want to know what we have experienced, should  cease to interact with him/her.   Go rant somewhere else, please.

Just another Cushion Grip advocate who doesn't care about anyone else's opinion or experience, only their own.  Cushion Grip, Cushion Grip, Cushion Grip.  Happy?

So much so that they advocate IGNORING a person who has an actual opinion and input about the topic of the thread and has respect for the thread's OP rather than DERAILING it with nothingness.   What are you, 12?

Let's start burning books again also!

Since spicy has her own likes and we have ours, maybe we should let people judge for themselves.  I just wanted to inform all the people who used Cushion Guip when it was discontinued that it is now back on the market. You Spicy, were not one of those people. I continue to reach out to those folks.  So Spicy please let up.

Ever watch Sesame Street?  Sing it with me "One of these things is not like the other."

I have a tube of Cushion Grip right in my cabinet.  So what?  It's not the end all to every denture issue.

The subject is Avistar, a denture adhesive.  Not Cushion Grip, a temporary reline material with no adhesive qualities.

Taking a bullying stance by telling people they should ignore people, or continuing to make this thread something entirely different and being extraordinarily disrespectfully never made someone "more right".  Like, sure, screaming gets you more heard, but at what cost?

Whenever you ladies get a grip and come to terms with what you've done and apologize, I will forgive you.  lol
