Bottom denture issue

Bottom denture annoyance. I have a 10 year warranty on my dentures and I feel like I go in every 3-4 months to have my bottoms adjusted. My top plate fits beautifully but my bottom always seems to dig into my gums along my lip and inside my mouth under my tongue. I know they float but f**k, I am really tired of the discomfort! Not really sure what to do at this point? Should I look into have the bottom redone or just suck it up and deal?

We are sorry to hear what you are going through. You shouldn't have to settle for daily pain, regardless of the issue. When was the last reline done? Your dentist should be able to make adjustments that will either correct the situation, add a soft reline, or as a last resort have them redone. Please stop back and let us know what happens at your next visit. Hang in there!

I'm not healing evenly, so when I chew it's uncomfortable if no adhesive is used due to the right side coming up when I bite down on the left side. Also have a lot of bone spurs that are slowly coming through. Tho the dentist did state that I might have to have the bottom remade since it is my permanent set.

Hi Sarah, That is great that your dentist admits you may need a new bottom denture. I would go for it. Make it right. :)
