Can denture adhesive cause sore spots? Like I’ve had a sore spot on my bottom. Dentist said he fixed it. I’ve been using tons of adhesive as they are crooked and not right. But I’m like 4 weeks out. The one spot hasn’t healed looks worse and bleeds. So I’m wondering if adhesive can make a sore spot too. It did look better for a while.

I haven't heard of that.  I use an adhesive on my immediates as they are quite loose, before I get my permanents made.  In fact the adhesive cushions my dental plate to prevent sore spots due to the looseness.  If your bottoms are crooked and not right for you still after 4 weeks, I would be questioning your dentist.  If your dentist had fixed it correctly, after 4 weeks you shouldn't be getting sore spots.  Sounds as if you need to continue with getting adjustments done to your bottom plate or a soft reline done. Please don't settle for anything less from your dentist.  Get another dentist opinion if you need to.  Unless your dentist wears dentures, he shouldn't guess you. When you have your dentures out overnight, continue with the warm salt washes to help with the sore spot and bleeding.

Thank you. Yea it cushions it. I do need a reline but this sore spot he fixed. Now I have bone spurs coming out of it and another spot. He wanted to wait 3 more weeks for a reline. If I load it up with glue it’s perfect but I know that’s a no no. But since he wants me to wear them 24 /7. I kinda need them comfy and fitting and glue is the only way
