I have adult medicaid and i already had 16 teeth extracted and have 12 more that will be taken out on the 7th of April. Just went in this past week and did my impressions for full dentures. You just have to call around to find a dentist that takes medicaid. But it still has to get approved before the dentist will start. I hope that this helps.

Hi Tina, how long did it take for Medicaid to get the approval for the Dentures. I had all my bottom teeth pulled out on the bottom, and then two weeks later most of the top but 2 molars.. My dentist submitted my application for Dentures, on Feb 20th. It will be 5 weeks this Tuesday. The Dentist Tech said she thinks it is 4-6 weeks before they send a approval.  You can message me, and I will check back.  thanks

I have medicaid , I have yet to find any dentist that will accept that particular insurance for dentures.  You have to go to a place that makes cheap dentures.  That is the best I could do anyways.  It took me months to save to buy them.  There are dentist , however, that can pull your teeth with medicaid, as long as you let them know they are hurting, ;) Hope this helps.

Can I ask you how you went about finding this information for your state.  I have already been through two different denture places and both have made sets that do not fit.  I am spending ungodly amounts of money on just trying to have a pair of teeth to eat with.  It has been one of the most horrendous ordeals I have ever been through.  I am so exhausted after two years of trying to get it right out of my own pocket.  I was misinformed if this is so.  Ty , I am so glad to hear this.  Please mssg. with more information. Much gratitude for replying.

Medicare & Medicaid are not the same thing. It depends on where you live and your financial situation to see if you are eligible for both. There is different criteria you must meet to qualify. Medicare is the plan you automatically qualify for at age 65yr. It does not include any dental coverage at all. It covers Part A & Part B Hospital & Doctors care. I'm oversimplifying. The point is the difference. I live in Ca. I just turned 65yr.& am on Medicare.
I just got teeth pulled & dentures because I qualify for Medical. Do you get my point?

What was your medical reason.  I suffer from facial pain on Eleville antidepressant for this condition.
