Can't eat

Had all my teeth pulled 1 1/2 years ago by choice, I had a few front teeth that were broken and in bad shape but the rest were fine and healthy. But I hate dentists so I wanted a set so I would not have to go to the dentist again.  I hated the temp dentures and the dentist office so never went back. I just got some "new "teeth and am having a hard time eating. It  seems that I cant control the food and when I try to locate it I move my lower plate and cant tell if it food or the plate I am feeling. I usually just take the dadgum things out to eat. I can eat anything including steak and fried pork chops except nuts without my teeth.
Any help would be appreciated

Wow, just saw this post today. I would not pull my teeth unless really needed. People don't realize dentures take a lot of work and time to get used to. I still have my lower teeth and will fight to keep them no matter what! Tops came out because of bone loss and broken.
Hope You can eat now. Good luck,
Nancy

Chris, I highly recommend trying Secure adhesives. I have a small lower, so the company recommended that I use the strips on the bottom but I often just put the paste on both.

For me, Secure is the only thing that gives me all day hold!

Good luck!
