Denture tight

I am noticing a lot of people posting about their plate being loose. I am on day 7 of full upper removal and immediate plate. From the start it has been tight and suctioned to roof of my mouth. The dentist told me it's normal despite the uncomfortness of it.

Yep, that’s normal at first with swelling. Mine was nice and tight for about a week. As your mouth heals your gums shrink and it should lossen up. If not, then you are super lucky lol. :)

Go to the dentist and they will adjust them. I’ve heard it’s really easy to break the claps if you try to do it at home

Sara Hammer: So glad to read that someone else 's experience immediately is/was "These immediate dentures are waaaay too tight!"
Mine were so much so for the first three weeks (denturist adjusting them weekly) that when I removed them, the soft tissue was blanched white, and a painful throbbing.

Update:
By now at 2-months post-op, still healing, still weekly denturist adjustments and healing-soft-liner ... things are feeling less uncomfortable and the "tightness" issue is lessened.
Albeit each week I leave the denturist's office with a new pink-soft-reline, I can count on it being "too tight" for several days --- but by leaving them out a few hours every day or night --- seems my arches are shrinking ? and thus tightness is not an issue. Progress in the process.

I have had my bottom partials for more then 6 months. They are so tight after wearing them for less than a hour. I can not stand the pain. I went back to my Dentist and she did adjust them a little. They had too much over lay, pushing into my gums and fit extremely tight. So she cut some away. But they are still to tight. I took them out after about two hours and today was not able to get them back in. Rubbing my skin away, extremely sore. My dentist says they are supposed to fit tight. I just have to wear them and they will stretch. But how can I wear them them if they are causing so much pain.

Mine are painful if the claps are too tight. I’ve found if they are loose and I use a little adhesive, they don’t hurt at all.
When they tightened them last, they would dig in any time I bite down. Seems you just have to find the happy medium
