Denture I’m going to get an immediate denture and I work in a call center so I have to talk all day it’s my job lol how long is the healing process my dentist said for the gums the pain should stop in 2-3 days and a month for me to get us to the dentures anyone have any idea if this is true? Have you experienced this?

I am going on 2 months with my Top full denture. I had pain from extractions for about a week. The worst part is that I had some bone spurs that were causing me unbelievable pain. I am healed up but need to use adhesive because they fit big and they fall out if I don't. As for speaking I have a slight lisp and some difficulty enunciating but dentist said will get better when I get the reline and them perms. I think everyone is different so this is just my experience. Still super happy with my decision. Good Luck.
p.s-  warm salt water rinses are a must. They really help

I all my teeth pulled , I was only missing one tooth but it was right in front, so I couldn't stand it.  I had 4 to 5 pulled at a time.  I didn't experience any pain.  Great dentist!! As for my dentures , I could speak immediately and you should be able to also.  :)  Only tip is , your gums are going to shrink over the next couple of years.  They told me 6 months.  Not true, everyone is different, of course.  Good luck!!  you should be well.

I had a full upper denture put in Juky 9th. On Juky 24th-26 I gave an 8 hour each day lecture out if state. I did my first video for my blog on July 19th. I just had this mindset it was a good thing. I was excited to have no pain. To be able to eat again. I had almost no problem adjusting. My immediates were so bad...but I just went with it. Good luck. If you think you can and it's not a big deal you will be ok.

I had full extractions and immediate dentures placed about a month ago. My top and bottom denture fit great and at this point I don't have to use any adhesives to keep them in or to eat properly. I'm still dealing with a lot of sore spots but that's just all part of the process. As for speaking everyone I was around said I sounded normal although I thought I had a lisp for about two weeks that gradually went away. I have worn my Dentures as much as possible too.

Also the healing pain from Dentures and extractions for myself wasn't anywhere comparable to that of a toothache or broken, exposed tooth. I think it was more frustrating learning to eat with the denture, but again for myself it was a pretty smooth process. There are still some things I struggle to chew and I can't bite into things yet. You will do great! This community is awesome for advice and support so I'm happy you've found it!
