Hi Kecia – first of all, I want to welcome you here to our community. You’ve come to the right place because you can connect and share with other folks who are also going through this experience or have experienced it in the past. Please feel free to explore other posts and topics here to see the stories others have shared. You’re definitely not alone. It’s great to hear that you’re already back in action at work and were able to enjoy some grilled chicken! One tip you can try when you’re going to sleep is to prop yourself up slightly with some extra pillows (this can help with reducing swelling or pain when lying down). I understand you worrying about what your kids might think, but just trust that they love you no matter what! Keep in touch.

LOL! Kecia,, Well as far as sleeping and your mouth sliding,, "it is what it is".. but it will be ok,, its nothing but a thing. Having mine for over 20 years now. I still have times I sleep in mine. Of course they don't suggest it but I did it for probably 19 years at least. Personally I think it kept my mouth from looking so wrinkly, if that makes sense. Well I'm pretty much a rebel. They say don't adjust your teeth but first time I got an ulcer I whipped out my nail kit and started grinding, and had NO regrets. I figured it was my 1500 bucks spent on them I could do what I wanted. That's not counting the surgeon. Just kick back and ENJOY your new beautiful smile . The smartest thing I did was find a dentist who specialized in dentures and mine have blades in the bottom set and it allows me to eat many foods most people with dentures have problems with. Hope you find the post encouraging. OH the best part is when the grandkids announce. "My grandma can take her teeth out,,",, HMM< lol
