If your comfort lining isn't working for you, then it has to be you trying to use it.

I have had no problems and om sick and tired of hearing these neg comments
I amost dies and some of you people need to wake up, life is short.

This girl is working to satisfy you and you talk behimd her back.  real nice wake up
I know it works from experience if i can use it and i am a old man than you sure as hell can.

Thank you for sharing this. It helps us all to be educated consumers. I am going to try it as i have some here and will leave a honest review of my personal experience with it. I was waiting for the go ahead from my dentist. I just got my first soft liner today and i am 95% closed up so far so im waiting for complete closure of extractions first.

Ok folks. ..disappointed about Comfort Lining. ..i got the tube so hot in the water i could hardly handle it because it wouldn't become really fluid. The tube split on the side slightly, ....it is not a quality or strong tube... and i fought with it and finally got some to come out but it was already drying and unspreadable on one spot by the time i tried to get some on the other side of my very small denture. I have an extremely small mouth. It was tacky and could be effective, i cant say it isn't, or wouldn't work if it could actually be applied. I would have loved to have had enough to have actually gotten it on the denture properly because it DEFINITELY a soft cushion feel to it that i do believe would make a denture super comfortable. There wasn't any nasty odor at all. I expected a bit of problems because whomever made the new YouTube video seemed to really battle with applying it too. Maybe will try it after some more development of the product. Im neutral on this and will keep track of this to hopefully give it another go in the future. Hope it helps anyone who had questions about it. Just my 2 cents.

Mine is still in a box and will probably stay there until she's FDA approved. Sorry about your experience.

Yes i think that it would help. I said I was going to give a 100% honest review and i did. I really did like the feel of it though for sure, because I hate the sore spots i have right now. The girl has to start somewhere and if she can get all her ducks in a row it could be really good i think. These stupid pharmaceutical companies don't have any interest in getting this going again it seems. We shall see.

I actually used Secure for the first time today. I don't think I put enough because it came loose 2 hours later, but willbgive it a go again tomorrow. I ho Wednesday morning for another soft liner at Aspen Dental. The one i got a week ago was awful, so thick i didn't have room for my tongue. Stupid girl wouldn't listen to me. I was supposed to have it for 7 minutes and she came back 12 minutes later and im drooling all over, she didn't want to clean the liner off the front of the denture. She just wanted me out so she could go to lunch. I wasn't a happy camper but she wasn't worth losing my temper. I called the other office that is owned by the same dentist and im going to make it clear...i paid for premium and thats exactly what I am going to be receiving from top to bottom and everyone i deal with.

I didn't even get a chance to try it. I couldnt get it on the denture. It definitely has risks without knowing the ingredients but I doubt its malicious intent, she probably just doesn't want someone to copy her stuff. It will fail or not fail, but im sure she will get with the FDA because of the big uproar here. You can really open up alot of problems for yourself if you dont follow the law. All of the thermoplastic supplies can be sold on Ebay and bought too for someone adventurous to make their own like parents who make their kids fake teeth etc.. for the holidays. We shall see. I gave my review and so im out of the debate. I wish none of us needed this kind of product.

Yes, thats exactly what I did lol, very thin with a Qtip because it stuck so bad to my finger the first time i did it. I applied it 2xs today but loosened both times... but my gums are healing all crazy uneven because I have had 9 teeth pulled bit by bit since October. I got my immediate denture and last 2 pulled 27th of Jan. Thanjs though, i do think i am going to like it!

I've used secure...it's better than the others...I've used the "pro soft " 1 time. It was horrible tasting. I emailed the company and told them it tasted like poison. They refunded all my money ..that concerned me that they ask no questions. ..I would be even more skeptical of using it.....worst stuff I've ever used....just saying.... .

It's a struggle. I have a lot of bone loss (bottom) and though they fit, I cannot even remotely eat with them in. And the sore spots. Ugh. I go for xrays in a couple of weeks, to see about implants to hold them in.

I've not tried any of the soft liners except the reline it, but I'm pretty sure they are similar. Reline-it tastes nasty, might burn a little, and is a real booger to get out, but it works. I think it lasts longer once your gum shrinkage slows down. I kept each one in a little longer, except for the last one. I gave myself a slight underbite by not getting the dentures aligned properly before it set. I stripped it out and have been experimenting/playing around with the dentures. I ordered perma-soft and have been holding off using the reline-it in hopes it would arrive quickly. I may go ahead and use the reline-it, to assure the perma-soft will be here monday, if murphy's law holds true.

I used to go to a dentist in Texas who had a poster full of Murphy's laws stuck to the ceiling over the chair. Kept you entertained while you were getting worked on. I had most of them memorized by the time he did 9 crowns, 4 root canals and several fillings, but that was 30 years ago. Here are a few I remember:
#1 of course is anything that can go wrong will go wrong. Any object dropped while working on a car will roll to the exact center. The chance of the bread falling with the buttered side down is directly proportional to the cost of the carpet. There was another law or rule from someone else that said Murphy was an optomist. LOL

I've just came up with one:
Intermediate dentures come in too sizes; too big and too small.

I used the Reline-it and it set quicker then I thought it would so I didn't get it aligned properly either. I removed it and it worked great the second time. The taste and burning sensation I had a real issue with. Luckily I did it when I didn't have to leave my home for 2 days. Not sure if it helped speed up removing the taste but I placed my denture in a baggie with baking soda. After 1 1/2 to 2 days I tasted nothing.

I bought some Dollar General Store fizzy cleaning tablets that contain baking soda for $1.50. Soaking the dentures in that helps too. It cut the smell/taste from a week or more down to a day or two.

If the fit is decent the secure is rock solid (for me anyway). I apply it then take a Popsicle stick and spread it up both sides of the gum area in the liner thinly. I was able to eat fajitas last night without too much trouble.

I was so happy yesterday! I used fixodent powder on my new softliner yesterday and it stayed great! Didn't budge while eating a burrito and some chips! It was hard to wait the 72 hours for the liner to really "cure" but i got a solid 7 hours out of it!!! I drank a coke and that released it so im sticking to water and sweet tea instead of anything carbonated, but im a happy camper!

Has anyone had problems with every fixative they have tried? I hate the goop and slime of fixodent complete and trying to get it out of my mouth and i dont apply that much at all, the seabond wafers dont hold but a couple of hours, secure only lasts a couple of hours, i tried fixodent extra hold powder today. I applied it, didn't eat or drink for over an hour and as soon as i drank a cup of coffee it came loose and then i dealt with the bitter aspirin like taste until i could get home to take it out an clean it off. Eat or drink and none of them hold up. I think its false advertising to say all day hold and not one of them has held past a couple hours. So frustrating. I am getting a soft liner on Wednesday and I pray it helps!!!....i got an email from fixodent rep on this site to call they would like to ask questions and "make it up to me"...i called the number and after being transferred i sat gor over 10 minutes on hold and finally just gave up and hung up the phone.

I've only used Fixodent so far, but yeah as soon as I take a bite - it pops right off. It pops off within an hour even if I don't take a bite. Funny because I've had upper dentures for years, and Fixodent always worked for me. The new uppers I have now don't need ANY help - the suction is perfect, the fit is perfect, they never come loose. Bottoms are a whole different story ......

Oh wow - I never had any problem even with my old upper - keeping it secure with just Fixodent. I am so sorry. And yes the price gouging is sickening and I wish someone would straighten that mess out.

Leslie, I think right now, you will probably find that the soft liner will help tremendously! If they are loose enough that nothing is working, it sounds like the soft liner is in order!

Good luck and keep us posted please!

Leslie, I have the same problem w/getting the. Poligrip paste or cream. out of my mouth, it takes too long. 20 minutes to get it to stay in if I hold it the entire time, and about 30 - 40 minutes to pry the gook out. I use hot water and I've tried using gauze, but so far nothing helps. I got my denture on Jan 25th after going 3 months with no top teeth. I was not offered an immediate, my dentist said it is better for my gums to heal first, so that is how it went for me. Let me know if you find a quicker way to get that stuff out of our mouths.

I bought a few boxes of these dental cleaning cloths off of ebay. They work great to get stuff off the denture, super fast, but not as quickly to get it out of the mouth and palate. I think using mouthwash and wiping makes it more effective.

I LOVE Clean -It wipes!

I rinse my mouth with Walmart brand Listerine (alcohol included ) and then use the wipes. Sometimes I dip the cloths in the mouthwash, I just plop my dentures in the cleanser and then brush them in the morning.

I'll have to try the clean-it wipes after using mouthwash. I haven't done that yet. Some days I use them, but I normally just use hot water to loosen the dentures, then after they are out, use hot water to dissolve the remaining adhesives, the brush with toothpaste, followed by mouthwash. The whole process can can 15 minutes plus by the time I'm done. Maybe I can speed up the process this way.
