Facial numbness

It's been nearly a year since I got my Uppers. There's occasional pain, if I chew something that's too chewy. Been experimenting with adhesives, I think I've settled on Fixodent.
But now there's a new symptom: in the past few days I'm experiencing numbness in my cheeks and lips, and a slight numbness in my forehead.
I'm massaging my face a lot to ease the growing numbness!
I can't see my Dentist, his Practice closed because he's indicted on Fraud Charges!
Anyone else having this problem of facial numbness?

Being that it's close to a year I would say the numbness has nothing to do with your dental work. It could be the onset of Bells Palsy or even a stroke, that's how mine started I suggest you go and see an MD as soon as possible.

Ditto. Could be a total different problem. There are so many that deal with the facial nerves. Please seek medical attention!

Yeah, I was hoping I could blame it on the Fixodent. But, you're right, I need to see my doctor. Thanks for the reply!

True, can have an affect like numbness to the area you apply it. Still on the forehead, could totally be different issue, keep us posted. Best to let the specialists at least rule out other issues!

You're welcome not a problem. I had numbness start in the left side of my face and my left arm waited three days before I went to the hospital only to find out I had a stroke, I was 41 years old at the time.

I can guess many things, but noone is the same and it takes specific tests ran on each person to determine their own different issue. Mine happens mostly in the evening! Very strange and facial nerves can be related to sooooo many different issues. Guessing is not appropriate, seek medical attention!

Wow, Karen You are a great testament to everyone! My brother had a small stroke sitting in his car, he did not even think about stroke. He sat there until the symptoms resided! Sooo glad you got help. So many people disregard those symptoms! Its not taught enough!

I forgot to mention that most always your blood pressure will be high! So, always keep that blood pressure under control. I wish I had your strength right now. As I too need to loose weight.

This numbness is the whole front of my face, not just one side.
You were so young to have a stroke!

I still suggest you go see an MD just sounds like something more neurological then Dental. My stroke was brought on bye diabetes which I didn't knowat the time and the fact that I was under a lot of stress at my job. Have long since changed my job, have my diabetes under control , lost 100 lbs and will be 59 years old this year.

Thanks everyone! In the evening, after I take out my teeth and clean the gunk off, the numbness mostly goes away. This morning I went back to using Sea Bond. So far all I'm feeling is the usual mild discomfort that comes and goes. No numbness.
As for seeing a Doctor, decades ago I got tired of being told "If it (whatever the symptom might be) gets worse come back in 2 weeks". So I just wait, sometimes I get so frustrated with Doctors I feel like I'll just wait till I fall down!
It's funny, I take small doses of Zinc supplements from time to time with no problems or reactions at all. Maybe the supplements are a different formulation than what's in denture adhesive?
Anyway, and again, thank you all for all the replies and advice :)
