Ok here goes! I am 45 and most of my life I have experienced problems with my teeth. I am now at a stage not a day passes where I'm not worried about teeth falling out or breaking. I have lost several (back teeth luckily). I am keen to have dentures I can not afford implants. Advice please!!!

Hi, Vanessa... I, too, had horrible teeth ( first filling at 18 months in my mom’s lap ☹️)
I had my teet pulled and have dentures now. I wish I could give you glowing reports.... but I can’t . I went to Aspen Dental, and appreciate all that they did. My gums and bone structure need to be rebuilt for implants; and to make an even surface for dentures to fit properly. I cannot eat sooo many things that I once ate, and have lost weight ( not a bad thing) the key problem will be the bottom dentures.... many just leave them out. Eating meat is a real problem for me, so finding alternate sources of protein is KEY!!!
I wish you luck. Keeping the bad teeth will only cause more bone and gum problems, not to mention potential problems for affecting your body.

I also had horrible teeth. I had them all pulled and have had full dentures for exactly one week. And it is horrible. I have heard it gets better, but I've already had to get several adjustments due to massive pain. I have had them for a week and I haven't even attempted to chew with them yet because the pressure and pain is just too much. I have read denture literature that says it takes about a month to really get used to them. So. . .I'm not even halfway there yet. I don't want to dissuade you from any decision, just giving my own personal experience.

I had 17 extractions and full upper and lower immediate dentures placed 6 days ago. I will say that the first 48 hours were the worst. That third day the pain just stopped and they feel good. I can't eat anything that requires effort but I am confident that is right around the corner. So far I have not had to have any adjustments. I know I may be eating those words at any time but so far so good. I don't regret it at all. I feel better physically already, just having those bad teeth out of my mouth. I smile constantly!! I know that there are some that have a much worse experience than mine and I am one of the few that had no initial problems. I just want you to know that everyone is not worse case scenario.
