Well, guess I am finally done, been over six months now with the Permanent Dentures, just had an implant check up last Friday, all is good. I am scheduled to see the hygienist next January, sheesh, back to regular cleanings, seems a little odd but I have so much invested I'll do whatever is needed. Just a recap, my top denture is not removable, it is screwed into six implants, bottom denture is supported by a titanium bar, supported by 4 implants. The lower is removable, has small clips that snap onto the bar. I have no denture movement or rocking, I need no adhesive. I do remove the lower every night and do the denture soak thing, The top is just normal brushing and a waterpik to clean around the gum contact area, actually pretty simple maintenance. The only issue I have had was I have broken two front teeth (different times), I guess I don't realize how hard I bite! Both times the dentist was able to re-attach with some stinky acrylic solution. I was beginning to wonder if the lab had issues but I have now gone a couple of months without issue. I can literally eat anything I want, I am very thankful the two year process is over. One suggestion is if there is anyway to get some implants, do it! Not rocking, no movement, no adhesives, whats that worth in the long run? Priceless...
