Gagging after 3 weeks

I have been wearing my new temporary upper denture for 3 weeks. The past few days they have started gagging me. Before that they felt fine. I am now having to apply adhesive twice a day or I can't keep them in by evening they get loose. When I try to eat they are rocking and I have to hold them in to chew. Is this normal?

Go to your dentist and have them trim the palate.  I have had mine trimmed twice.   It makes a world of difference.

I too had that same problem at about 3-4 weeks ... definitely go to the dentist and tell them this things and they should make the necessary adjustments for you.

Yes I went through this as well. For me, as the swelling went down, the plate was able to ride higher, and until a certain point was not touching the roof of my mouth at its rearmost point. One day I awoke and the denture felt like it had grown, when in fact my mouth had shrunk. I went to the dentist and he took about 1/8" off the palate and it was perfect as soon as I put them back in.

Adhesive makes it worse, too, so there's that.
