Gross alert!!! Do your dentures get mold between liner and denture?

I clean my dentures with Efferdent soak, and I brush them with or without toothpaste when I brush the nubs still left in my mouth.  But I have seen black areas that look like something is growing between the denture and the liner.  Nothing I try seems to get rid of it.  The only thing I have not tried (using my very new experience with dentures) is soaking them in pure peroxide.  I've used diluted peroxide, and I have brushed them with baking soda.  My dentist was not concerned when I showed him.  But I still have thoughts of some nasty mouth mold growing in my fake teeth. Eewww!  Has Anyone ever had this problem? If so, did you figure out how to get rid of it?
Thank you for letting me gross you out. I have pictures, but wasn't sure how to or even if I should post them. :-)

Soft liner is temporary. Sounds like it's getting stained inside from food etc. Either it didn't secure to the acrylic when it was done or it's slowly starting to wear. I know what you mean by gross. Ask them if they can give it a pumice and polish and if it doesn't seem like it's gone then you should ask for another liner. The first one should be removed! (They should know better and do so). Barb toothpaste and baking soda contain abrasive, not really recommended to clean with. If you've had the soft lining for a while now maybe it's time for a change. It's not the end of the world and shouldn't harm you if you're going to get perms soon. Hope this helps.

I'd ask for a new liner. When I had my immediates and a soft liner, mine started to come off. They replaced it for the exact same reason you are having issues. Possible microbial growth. I didn't have discoloration, either. Also, I purchase a paste that is specifically made for dentures. Walgreens has it or Amazon.

Yeah, I'm starting to wonder if we all went to the same "chain-store" immediate denture place that's nationwide. They prey on people that can't afford to go to private practice dentists for dentures and have no insurance. I wish I knew the answer to the mold problem.

I have been unable to wear my dentures since I got them 3 years ago--mouth ulcers from Lupus. My slimy teeth appeared moldy, too. FYI, vinegar is antibacterial and would be an acceptable reacement for bleach. I just received my new denture case to assure that a deep cleaning in another container and then using the new container will help to eliminate the problem. I also use distilled water. You should clean your denture holder with an equal soak of white vinegar and distilled water soak for sn hour at least once a week. For me, there's a deliberate intention to have pristine dentures because of an immune deficiency.

I had a liner I was using over a month or so ago that I bought on Amazon and it had the mold you are speaking of. Just say it was hell to remove and I will never use that product again.

I could not afford permanents and they wanted to charge 500 for soft relign. They gave me one free. But never hard relign. Told me my dentures didn't fit so had to have all new ones made. Certainly can't afford that. But, I last 6 months, slowly black color is on roof of uppers. I soak them and brush, but never could get completely removed. Now since the messed up my dentures, I cannot eat with them in. So it is not like food building up or I'm not cleaning enough...or maybe I'm not. Don't know. I really don't want to go back to that dentist. Because I think they will tell me anything and charge a lot. It looks like mold. Sick, right? Totally gross. Anyhow, I would like any info from those if you that may have had this problem before I go to any dentist. I do not trust them anymore. Thank you

I had stored old dentures and they turned black.  I soaked them for about a week in peroxide.  all the black is gone but there are white spots.  I've been wearing them and I use a little peroxide in with the denture cleaner every night.
