How do these dentures look on me. I hate the poofyness on my top lip area. Why do they look poofy. Do I need to take them back in to make it thinner? And my dentured are not straight. Just got these yesterday. Do they start looking natural?

Are those your permanents ? my top lip was the same way with my temps, my perms are much thinner and I don't have the puffiness , .In any case they do look great and you have a wonderful smile.
I have been really hoping my perms are better did you get the really expensive ones because your smile looks great.

I went through my dental insurances I paid $1,350.00 for upper and bottom dentures 6 months ago every dental offices is different that was with insurances.
I paid right at 800 for uppers including a temp I went thru a dentures place (not affordable dentures) that offered three options the other two were more expensive
And I envy those of you who. Think their lips look poofy. I think my dentures are too small. I never had wrinkles around my lips before I got dentures. My lips are now thinner and wrinkly. I think I look like an old lady, and I hate that,
I feel the wrinkle thing too ...it's so annoying. I need botox or something and juvederm because it makes my top lips thin and dents have aged me like 10 years.
So I'm not the only one. Everyone talks about puffy lips and I only wish I had rhem
I never felt they made me look puffy either. My lips are definitely smaller now. I've got a killer wrinkle above my lip when they're not in, and it's starting to show when they are in. I'm hoping to get my perms made with larger teeth.
This is exactly what I was thinking about I'm on day 3 so super swollen today but my top is puffy but I was thinking they can take some off but not put it on right, and later as my gum and bone shrinks the top puffiness might be good thing!
I felt the puffy ness when I had my temp dentures I've had my permanents for 6 months now they're a lot smaller and I feel much more comfortable.

i you have both your upper denture and a lower denture.
If you feel comfortable doing it, it would b helpful if you could share more details, like the cost of the work and the extent of the work you had done. And wether it was a chain Dental group or an individual dentist and any other details that you are comfortable sharing

You are beautiful but don't let ANYONE tell you that you have to settle for less than perfect. These are absolutely crooked and time won't change that. My first set looked horrible and fit just like these do on you and i complained. They didn't want to fix them so I started leaving reviews on any platform I could and within days they invited me in for new impressions and I now have a set of dentures (top and bottom) that fit right and look good. Don't settle for less. These are your TEETH we are talking about. You paid for perfection, not half assed or crooked. PERIOD. Do NOT do that to yourself. Time will NOT fix crooked. Get them replaced and if they won't then start singing... Yelp, Google, every single review site out there AND tell them you are contacting the state dental board in your state. It works but you have to do the work. Good luck.

i have dental that comes from being reitired on s.s. that will cover the new full upper and lower partial i need but i opted to try to save a little every mo. and i don't make much so it's not easy-i saw a prosthodontist for a consult and he said he could help me but at the first appt., he has his 'assistant' who was really nice-but i could tell-she was 'learning' and when she took my upper impression-i knew it wasn't good but i din't say anything. not sure why-anyway..... i didn't go there to have an asssitant making them-i could have gone to one of the million dentists who take my ins.-mr. arrogant prosthodontist came in once in a while to 'see how we were doing'.....after appt. 4 and 2 wax try-ins and the 2nd was worse than the first-i said 'this isn't working' my heart was 'pounding' and i asked 'the assistant' to go get the MR. ARROGANT PROSTHODONTIST'....she did-i told him "i could go anywhere and work with an assistant" and i told her NO OFFENSE because she was 'really nice' and have my ins. pay but i came 'here' because i thought YOU would be able to make me a natural smile that fits-he said 'DULY NOTED' ......i then asked for all my money back and he gave it to me right there-that was 4 months ago and i came home-feeling defeated-i know too much about how this works now-i worked in a dental lab for 2 yrs. before i retired-he makes crappy ONE SIZE FITS ALL dentures-if anyone knows someone in so. cal. who 'has a clue' i'd love to know-thank you and i 'feel' for all of you.

If you are getting lower dentures consider have snap on's with implants. Lower dentures are more difficult to wear and implants make them more stable

As for poofy, I'm worried about that myself. I just got all my upper teeth out (only had 11 left) but no dentures yet. The extra gum is bound to stick out a little, I'm hoping it's more noticeable for you than others.
