How do you use the powder on a lower denture?

I looked on you tube to see how the powder is used. It shows someone applying powder on an upper denture. A bottom denture has a very small area with which to apply the powder. Is it even worth it to try and put powder in such a small space?

Hi Maryanne, denture adhesive powder can very much help hold lower dentures in place, despite the limited surface area. Some people choose to use denture adhesive powder instead of paste because the powder forms a thinner seal for them. It may take a steady hand to get the powder where you need it, but it is definitely used by many people on their lower dentures. If you find the powder isn’t working for you, you can try to use a denture adhesive paste with a small nozzle like Fixodent Plus Gum Care. This will let you easily control where the paste goes. I hope this helps!
