Immediate Dentures 6 days ago!!!!!!!

I had 22 teeth (the rest of em) extracted 6 days ago. Right now I have my immediate dentures in, and will be wearing them for 3 more months or so. I have been using Fixodent crème (as suggested) for 3 days now. I have found microwaving a half cup if Listerine (warm) for 45 seconds then rinsing for 1 - 2 minutes after removing dentures works!

Breaking down the remaining denture creme that is stuck on and or in the extraction sites.

Butch, I am so glad you posted the tip about listerine. I've been doing that at work for the mid day fix and it's wonderful. Thank you

We couldn't agree more with Natalie, Butch. Amazing, indeed!

For the folks asking if they need to use a certain brand of mouthwash to remove the adhesive residue from your mouth and gums, you can rinse with your favorite brand of mouthwash or comfortably hot water, then gently brush with a soft-bristled toothbrush and your regular toothpaste.

You can also gently rub away the remaining denture adhesive with a washcloth and a small amount of cooking oil. You may also want to experiment to see what amount of product is best for you. Hope this helps! ~Rosie
