Immediate dentures

Okay so I had all my remaining teeth pulled ( a whopping 18 teeth) 4 days ago and decided immediate dentures were best. Boy was I wrong. I can't even get the suckers to stay in! The first day the bottom plate pushed it's self out from the swelling. After 24 hours I took the too plate out and can't get it back in. The canine on my right side just wont allow it. Its sore and hard at touch. Should I return to the dentist? I had the procedure at a 24 hour dental an hour away. They were amazing and so patient with me..i mean I threw up in the trash can twice, cried and even managed to have the giggles. 30 numbing shots and almost three hours later the teeth came out lol. I decided against being put out and just doing local anesthetics instead. Anyways thanks for listening and any advice is welcome!

Yes, it's very painful. I had 22 teeth out about 12 days ago and immediate dentures the next day, and they told me to leave them In except for sleeping, but as of yesterday I was finally able to put them in for longer than 10 minutes . I got them adjusted 2 days ago and a soft liner put in and they feel better, but still very foreign. I'm not am expert but I didn't wear mine until yesterday and I'm glad for it. The pain was horrible for me, but I am feelin so much better now with pain. The emotional part is what I'm dealing with. I won't go into the story, but if you look at my first post," after 8 days I'm still miserable," you will know. Hang in there and it will get better. I'm still in the beginning stages and still using alot of issues but it's gotten better a little each day. The people on this site are very knowledgeable and will send you advice once they see your post.

Oh wow. I couldn't imagine having to go through that. Having you're teeth pulled is an intense procedure to endure let alone having some pulled you wanted to stay! I am sorry you had to go through that but look at the bright side, you didn't have to lay for it and its taken care of. I just turned 30 and i hate that i even had to have this done but after I had my son my teeth just got so bad. I probably could have waited a little longer but i have to have a full hysterectomy and the oncologist and dentist refused to allow the surgery until all my teeth were removed because of the infection from my teeth had got so bad. Anyways lol sorry i wasn't trying to tell my whole life story. So since you had the bottom teeth pulled by accident were they able to give you a bottom plate? I just want to get this swelling and soreness over with already lol.
