Just an ideal

I wish you could put a point in the top of the cap so it would stick in the hole of the tube. I have had to throw so many away because of them drying up. And your product is not cheap.

Just use a push pin to plug up the hole, just use rubbing alcohol to clean the pin prior to inserting. No need to twist off the cap; Or use a paper clip to clear the hole after removing the cap.

Hi Barbara, thanks for the suggestion!  I’ve shared it with our product team. Usually, the reason why the adhesive hardens or clogs in the tube is due to moisture getting inside the cap—one way to help prevent that is to wipe the nozzle with a dry cloth or paper towel before closing the cap tightly. Also, make sure to never try to clean the nozzle with water. Hopefully we’ll see a product improvement to prevent the clogged nozzle soon! Thanks again!

What may cause the tube to still have fixodent in it, and near the end of the tube, it feels like there is a hole in the bottom and nothing will come out

Hi Linda, that’s something I haven’t heard about before. If any moisture got in, the product could have hardened inside, making it difficult to get out, but that doesn’t explain the feeling of the hole in the tube you described. If you’d like, please call our care team at 1-855-236-3353 and describe the issue—I’m wondering if it might have been a problem with the seal. Thanks for reaching out!

What I would REALLY wish for is a tube that I could buy in the supermarket or drugstore that had the tiny, tiny dispensing hole that the sample tubes have.  I have an upper that fits really well except for eating, when it tends to "flop down" in the front.  I've tried the regular Fixodent but no matter how little I use it winds up squirting out the back of the upper and making me gag.  The little "Fixodent Control" samples my dentist gave me work superbly — hold so I can eat, and no squirting down the back of my throat.  The bad news?  I can't find the "Fixodent Control" anywhere...

Hi Marion, I think I can help you with this. In 2009, Fixodent Control was renamed Fixodent Food Seal, and in 2013, it was renamed again to Fixodent Plus Gum Care. The Fixodent Plus Gum Care has the precision tip nozzle (smaller) that is not on the regular Fixodent you’ve been using. All of the “Fixodent Plus” products have a small tip that makes it easier to control how much comes out and where. The Fixodent Plus products are: Fixodent Plus Gum Care, Fixodent Plus with Scope, and Fixodent Plus TrueFeel. They are available at major retailers and online!
