Mold on Densurefit after two weeks

So I've never had any problems with any other reline but this one here. Had some issues with getting it to stick correctly to my dentures and theres not much in the tube so I have to be careful well ended up using it all. The owners said to buy another tube and apply it over and over and over the old liner so I did now there is mold. I called the health department and they insisted that I remove the product as soon as possible and never use it again! So I did!I proceeded to my dentist and he told me to NEVER apply more liner over the existing as it would cause mold to grow since our mouths are full of bacteria. Well I wasted over $100 on that crap and I'm not happy! Anyone else experience mold on their densurefit?

Thank you for sharing this. I'll know not to do this to my dentures. I was thinking about it, but I never did add more over the existing lining.  I think what you had actually was mildew, not mold. Mold does not adhere to plastic. Mildew adheres to plastic, any breathable item. This is what I was told anyway. Hope this helps. By the way, I've been using Cushion Grip but I've been thinking of trying Comfort Lining. I understand it doesn't burn or leave a bad taste in the mouth. Cushion Grip does burn some.

No I haven’t ever experienced mold, but I never did the “lining it twice” — I tried it on my RK Ultras and then I could not get it to adhere sadly even after having it “cure” overnight ... you know guys ... a good denture wearer friend once said “ I don’t mind adhesive like everybody else ..”

Don’t worry I promise you you’ll find what works best for you just keep on trying to find :-) do not give up you guys were all here in this together .. much loVe, keldoll

Thank you both for your kind responses. Where do I find those products that you mentioned? Do they work good for dentures? I went to my drug store and couldn't find those brands so I purchased some seabond cushions. I'm about to try anything right now because my mouth is in so much pain, but I can't use the reline anymore because of the mold issues.
