WAS TOLD TO USE FIXADENT PLUS ON THE DENTURES IF NEEDED WHERE THE TEETH WAS NOT PULLED. i PUT IN ONTHE LOWER DENTURE AND IT STAYS IN PLACE AS LONG AS i DO NOT EAT ANYTHING. BUT WHEN I TRY TO EAT SOMETHIING SOFT, THEY ALWAYS POP UP AND WILL NOT STAY IN PLACE. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY ANSWERS FOR ME AS TO WHY THIS IS HAPPENING?

It sounds like the fit is off. I have full upper and lower as well and I use Fixodent Plus and it works great for me. I would take a trip back to your dentist it sounds like the may need to take a new mold and remake your bottom denture.

It all depends on how much bone you have to hold the dentures in place from what I've been told. A lot of people have problems with the bottom dentures staying in. Here are my 2 suggestions that I've summed up thru my time on this forum n the best that have worked out for myself.

Adhesive I went with "Secure Bond which you will here people reference it as Gorilla glue for dentures. It works great n lasts all day unlike the fixident. The best place to buy this from is Amazon for $22.00 you can get 4 tube n that lasts me a good while n inclues the shipping. "

Stabildent to add onto your bottom denture. I just did this a couple of weeks ago n I love it. I can't tell you the difference n I have not used any adhesive since on my bottom denture. And this is coming from a person who was told that she needs a bone Graf n that they don't think the dentures are going to work without it. So no more floppy fish in my mouth lol. This you buy direct at stabildent.com

Hope this helps

That was another thing when i was 33 years old, they took half my bone away on the bottoms without telling me. Probably gave it to someone else. But i was told by the dentist the bottoms just set their anyway, because of jaw moving around. But my concern is that i went to have my Porcilon teth relined, and gave me a set of arcrilic instead. Then put down on bill, over $800 that they were relined. Commercial crooks ! No wonder people get shot these days !

I have uppers and lowers. Same problem. I also have a sore in front. Went for an adjustment. Felt ok there. I am using poling rip and a pain relieving cream on the sore sport. The long lady said I may have to eat shaft food for awhile longer. Eggs, mashed potatoes, smoothies,

In 5 min. Oh and put it in where you can stand the heat.

I just got use to the bottoms just setting in place. With enough room it never bothers me. If i did use anything, it just got in the way to eat, and hurt. And one can't keep getting up to clean them out every bite in resterant, if go to one. Of course through the years now, i can't afford to eat out anyway now.

But i don't think much about Dentist stealing high dollar dentures to make you beleive you never had porsilan dentures. Just crooks, if they get away with it.

Thank you Ann, but am still concerned as to how do i get my high dollar teeth back that i just wanted relined. And NOT getting a set of Arcrilic back, stealing my teeth made it the 70's never used. Porsilon IMP with pins holding in.
