Hello. I am new here. I just got the remainder of my teeth pulled yesterday(8) and got immediate dentures. (Full set) I was so happy to find this forum. I like most of you find it hard to speak clearly and eat. I feel like a foreign object is in my mouth. I took them out for the first time this morning and cleaned them. I didn't have too much of a problem putting them back in. I guess I was fortunate on that part. Other than what seems to be normal problems, I am loving my dentures. I have gum disease and was in so much pain for so long, plus my teeth looked awful. Now I am pain free and can smile again. I am so excited, I just keep looking in the mirror and smiling....lol.

I can't eat much of anything yet and feel like I am starving. I used fixodent for the first time tonight. My bottom gums are so sore from the dentures moving around so I decided to go ahead and try it. I left them out last night my gums were so sore. Bad idea!! I almost didn't get them back in this morning. So far they seem to feel better with the fixodent on them. I haven't tried eating with it on yet though. I will give that a try tomorrow. I will just be glad when my gums heal.

Getting mine in one week 4/11.  Picked them up today but surgery not til then at an oral surgeon's office.  Was concerned about gum disease and such now but I have an appointment with my md tomorrow so if he thinks I need a few days of antibiotics before the surgery I will do it.  Any helpful advice/product suggestions helpful at this point.  Thanks!
