New Immediates In the Works

Well, I did it - I've ordered my impression kit from Russell Klein.  I'm so hopeful, it almost worries me that my hopes are up a little too high.  Still, the end result has got to be better than what I have now.

Here's to hopefulness and to having faith that I'll be able to enjoy a bite that doesn't send my jaw skewing to the left, stop filling 1/4 gaps with glue and smile in a month or so!

All prayers accepted!

I am still glad I did this!!! It's been 6 weeks since I received mine. I think one of the reasons I'm so happy with it is that my expectations were completely met. And I didn't expect this to be a permanent solution, I expected it to be a better solution than what I had. Now that being said my reline on Monday I'm looking forward to because 10 weeks in from impressions being sent I do have more shrinkage (especially in 1 area where I had some swelling before when I took the impressions). That area has gone down tremendously now so I have a little bit of a hole there, but let me tell you something. You've seen my video. You know how I felt about my old one. I don't want to do that to my RK one lol. I don't have to hide my smile and I don't have to worry about what an eating with this in! I would do this again in a heart beat and do have impression kits ordered for a lower partial. Full upper plate only 4 and a 1/2 months post extraction. He was a savior in my life because I was going to throw my other one out the window of my car and hope an 18 Wheeler ran over it if I hadn't had some results.

Yeah I don't know why it was sideways lol I didn't take it that way! Thank you Shelly I appreciate that. I used to never smile . I think the biggest thing like I said is just to remember this is not necessarily a permanent solution its just a better one than you have. And I think mine look wonderfully natural. I have worn braces forever so my teeth were perfectly straight they were just falling apart because of the braces. I have genetically weak enamel (which we've known since I was very small) and both sets of grandparents, my father and my brother have all had the same problems. I do not regret having had this work done and I do not regret having done with Russell to get a denture.

I sure will Sharon!  Debi, I'm having a really hard time with this - I'm a person with a big huge laugh.  I can't NOT smile.  This is causing me to keep my lips closed and grimace through instead of being me.  It's really difficult to suppress me - on the other hand, it's a really good trial that God is helping me learn to guard the gates to my lips (our recent lesson at our Sisters class Tuesday.)

I know this will pass, and I know it will turn out well - I have complete confidence that I will be blessed with a good outcome.  I'm just really struggling with accepting this all gracefully.

:-D
