It is saturday night and I am getting 20 teeth extracted on monday morning. I have my temporary dentures. I am really nervous about all of this. I am extremely nervous of the pain. I do, however, think it will be better than the pain I am already in. Not sure what I will be able to eat and how bad my gums will hurt, and for how long.
I am looking forward to smiling again, though!!!!

Hi Judy, welcome to our forum! Sorry to hear that you’ve developed a sore. This is fairly common, especially with new denture wearers who have temporary dentures in. Warm salt water rinses are the easiest way to help relieve some of the pain and keep the sore clean. This is definitely something you should ask your dentist about, however. While adjusting to dentures can be uncomfortable, it shouldn’t be painful! I hope this helps with your concerns. Make sure to read other threads on this topic by searching “mouth sore” on this forum. There's also lots of other informative threads that may help you with other denture issues. Thanks for joining!
