I had all my lower teeth extracted, and am 11 days out and curious as to how they should look and feel? I get my stitches removed on the 12th of this month, and go from there. Also what do you guys recommend to eat? I've been eating nonstop applesauce and pudding and mashed potatoes.

If you have a food processor, that opens up all sorts of possibilities.  I cook baby carrots and mush them.  I take rotisserie chicken salad from the deli and pulverize that.  Ritz crackers with cream cheese or braunschweiger are easy because the crackers will crumble nicely between your tongue and the roof of your mouth.  Stove top stuffing with gravy is nice.  I don't need to process that.  I made ham salad in the processor.  I pulverize baked beans.  I make egg salad with olives in my food processor.  M&Ms really do melt in your mouth.  :)  And then the dreaded cheese puffs dissolve like the crackers.  Yogurt.  Tomato basil soup.  Peppermint patties.  Mashed potatoes goes without saying.  What I particularly miss is salads and Burger King crispy chicken salad.  They are in my future.  I even took my Reuben dip (corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss cheese and 1000 island dressing) and pulverized that and ate it on Ritz.  I get new ideas all the time and I have found that processing it retains the flavor.  And I haven't done it, but baby food opens up all sorts of possibilities with fruit and vegetables etc.  If I didn't look so funny without teeth, I wouldn't need them and would be happy to go through life without them.

I have been without my lower dentures for a year and a half. I put fixodent in them to eat food I need to chew or when I go out or shopping, otherwise I just don't wear them. They aren''t uncomfortable, they are hard to keep them stuck down and the dentist told me that this isn't unusual with the lowers, the uppers have your palate to stick to. I don't have any problem with the uppers, I need a new reline on the lowers and then they will probably fit better but I am not in a hurry as I am retired so I don't have to be in public every day like working people, by the way, my favorite foods are yogurt and ice cream yum! One way or the other I make do. I think baked fish is my favorite protein food and all vegetables.  Thy making ham salad and turkey, chicken, tuna salad with boiled eggs ground up in them I can think of all the wonderful things I can eat just keep your chin up and bare with it!!!

Why don't you ask your dentist for a refund on the lowers
You have 2 years from the time you realized you could not use them to get a refund

Lower dentrues are always a problem
Th only way they really fit is if you have implants put in that the lower  denture can be attached to
You should ask for a refund on your lower denture and go to an implant man and have new ones made that   attach to the implants.  It is expensive or more expensive but you can think of it like financing a car
