Reline gagging

I had my surgery and immediate top denture on 8/31/17. I just got a soft reline today and the gagging is awful. Not too mention the smell and taste of the reline. My dentist is wonderful and told me to come back tomorrow and he'll see if he can fix it. I'm just afraid, he won't be able to. Is a soft reline absolutely necessary? My dentist told me it would help my gum sores but I think I'd rather put up with the sores then this taste and gagging. Any advise would be appreciated

I just had my soft reline done yesterday, and the taste was wretched! However today it's very noticeable, and I'm hopeful that by tomorrow it will be completely gone.

I just had my last soft reline done yesterday too. The taste is awful but it is usually gone after couple days. Lol. :-)

It took a few or so days for the taste to go away but it will go away.

I find that soaking your teeth in half water, and half alcohol-free mouthwash overnight makes a HUGE difference!!!!!
