Hi Elizabeth, I'm so glad you visited our forum and chose to share your concerns. Adjusting to wearing dentures is a process and will take some time, but as you can see from many members of our community, it's so worth it! You'll be able to smile and eat with no pain. With some practice, your friends and co-workers won't even know (unless you tell them, of course).

Here is a resource we have that shows what to expect in the first 30 days after getting dentures: http://www.dentureliving.com/new-to-dentures/calendar

We have denture-wearers of all ages on this forum, so please don't hesitate to ask for advice along this journey. We're here to help!

Does anyone else have some words of encouragement to share with Elizabeth?
